Hi everyone! I had a request for a get well card. This is how the idea of the Get Well Soon Gertrude card was born.

Gertrude
First I looked for matching cardstock for the giraffe and die cut it with my Sizzix BigShot plus. To make the individual pieces stand out, I accented all edges with Distress ink vintage photo.

Then I assambled Gertrude. If you have difficulties with the order in which the Colorize figures are put together, I can highly recommend the Sizzix YouTube videos. There you will be shown step by step the process.
I wrapped some idea-ology mummy cloth around Gertrude´s neck and glued it to the back.
Background
Next, I took my stash and looked for a matching background. When I play with colors, I make several backgrounds and tags at once, which I can use when needed. That´s why this background was already finished. It was made with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.

I cut the tag slightly smaller than my card base with my deckle edge trimmer and I also accented the edges with vintage photo.
For my sentiment I choose Karten-Kunsts “Gute Besserung” (get well soon”) stamp which I stamped on some leftover Neenah cardstock with Gina K. design amalgam ink.

My first idea of this card was to have some medicine bottles placed at Gertrude´s feet. Unfortunately I don´t have any stamps or dies for bottles (that goes on the shopping list). So I decided spontaneously for trees as an additional background. I cut and assambled some of the Funky Trees and Funky Toadstools.
To create some depth I used 3D foam squares to glue the individual parts to the background.

Last I mounted my panel on the card base.
Here is my finished card:

Thank you for stopping by and stay healthy!
