We are celebrating my daughter´s seventh birthday next week, She already had birthday in September, but unfortunately it fell on the first day of school. That’s why we postponed the party until later. For her friends I made birthday invitations for her witch party. By the way I can leave the decoration hanging for Halloween right away:-).
The birthday invitations should not be too scary, for this I found the new Tim Holtz Toil and Trouble dies perfectly suitable. As a background I wanted a spider web that did not look too restless. I stamped the spider web from the Life of the Party stamps with Versamark ink and embossed it with Distress Frosted Crystal.
After that, I sprayed the background with Distress Mica Stain Frosted Juniper, Hocus Pocus and Bubbling Cauldron. These seasonal Mica Stains are sooooo beautiful! I had darkened the edges of the cards with Distress Oxide black soot.
Since the birthday invitation cards were for girls, I could use a lot of glitter without worrying. I had backed the cutouts of the cauldron and the cat´s eye with light green and yellow transparent paper.
For the banner I used my Cricut maker for writing and cutting.
A dear friend of mine is helping me with the witch party, as we have a big scavenger hunt planned. So I had made a modified invitation card.
