Hi evereyone! I hope you have started well into the new year. A very dear colleague is starting this year with a difficult surgery. Due to the still tense Covid situation I unfortunately can´t visit him in the hospital. I would like to send him my good wishes and love with this get well soon card.
This super cute stamp I wanted to use for a long time . I stamped the nurse with Gina K. amalgam ink, because I wanted to use alcohol marker for coloring. To get the thin outer lines of the stamp complete and full covered I used my Misti stamp positioner.
I have gotten into the habit of always making several cards at once. So I had also stamped this design several times. So don´t be confused if the pictures don´t match exactly.
one I used E41, 42, 43, 44 and for the hurt one I used W00, 0, 2 and 4.
Next I used E53, 25, 29 for the nurses hair.
Since I colored this stamp for the first time I dared not to use fancy colors but I used the stamp´s packaging as a template. So the dress also became blue with the colors B32, 34, 37, 39.
For the red apron accents I used R32, 35, 37 and RV29.
I tried to create shadows on the apron and her stockings with shades of gray (C00, 0, 1, 2).
For the skin tones I used E00, 11, 93.
As a last step I colored the doctor´s bag with E18, 43, 44, 47, 49, the bag´s heart woth the same reds as the aprons accents
To give the card a little bit of pop, but not to distract from my main subject I used desighn paper from American Crafts Animal Print Paper pad. In the Misti stamp positioner, I laid out the elements of my card to find the right place for my sentiment. My sentiment stamp is gute besserung (get well soon) from Karten-Kunst.
In the end I glued all the parts together and mounted them on my card base.
