Birthday card snarky cat

Hi guys, today I created a birthday card with Tim Holtz Snarky Cat (supply list at the end) stamps. I love cats in general but this stampset is adorable. So let´s start!

I needed a card for a 30th birthday. On the snaky cat set, the sentiment with „… I would sniff you first“ is my favorite because my recipient is a fun guy.

For the cat I wanted some accessories so that the card looks like a birthday party. I stamped the cat, a milk bottle, a party hat and some balloons on my cardstock. For coloring I chose my alkohol markers. Since I am just starting to color with alcohol markers, I opted for the Ohuhu markers. Then I cut out all the parts with my Sizzix and the matching dies.

I cut two slits around the arm of the cat with an exactor knife so that I could slide the milk bottle through them. I knotted some thread to the balloons, wrapped it around the cat tail and glued it with collage medium to the back.

For the sentiment I used my embossing ink and black embossing powder on orange cardstock. I use dotted paper from my stash for the background. The edges I had treated with distress ink vintage photo. For more demension I added some foam tape to my cat and the balloons. After that I glued my panel to an red cardstock and put all on my cardbase.
